Peach Heaven Manga

I can guess what’s on your mind when you see the Peach Heaven manga cover.

You must be thinking that I sure have the guts to recommend this kind of manga on my blog.

There’s no doubt that this manga must be a TL manga, right?

Okay, I won’t deny that it sure does look like it’s a TL manga judging from the book cover alone.

But I assure you that Peach Heaven is NOT a TL manga.

Believe me, the cover for the TL manga tends to be a lot more risqué than the one you see on Peach Heaven.

I won’t go into the weed on what the cover of a TL manga looks like. But suffice it for me to say that the manga covers tend to be NSFW, for the most part.

Only a handful of them look like normal shoujo manga. But even with that, you can tell that it’s a TL manga if you’ve been reading them long enough.

So, don’t worry so much about seeing the male main character being shirtless with the female main character.

The story in Peach Heaven is as shoujo-ish as you can get.

But I have to say that this manga is spicier than many of the shoujo manga I’ve recommended in the past.

Consider yourself warned here.

What Peach Heaven is all about

Here’s the book description that I got from Bookwalker.

At first glance, Momoko Shina may appear to be nothing more than your average high school girl, but she has a secret identity as the famous erotica author George Aihara. After she witnesses an intimate moment between one of her teachers and the supermodel Ranmaru, she borrows a little too much from reality in an effort to beat the deadline on her latest story. When Ranmaru gets wind of this, he makes Momoko an offer she can’t refuse… Watch the sparks fly as these two try to figure each other out in this high-tension romantic comedy!

What got me to read this manga

Here’s the funny thing about this manga. I can’t remember what got me to read the manga in the first place.

I’d like to think that I came across this manga on Coolmic since they tend to offer the first few chapters of the manga when they cross-promote the manga on their website.

That was the reason that got me to buy Devil’s Line manga. I got hooked on it after reading the first few chapters of the manga for free on Coolmic.

But I don’t think that was how I came across this manga, though.

So, if it’s not through something like Coolmic, then what piques my interest in this manga?

Well, it could be through the sample chapter of the manga on Bookwalker.

Sure, the sample chapter of the manga isn’t that long. But it’s long enough for me to get a rough idea of what kind of manga it is.

Of course, I didn’t miss this chance to get the first volume of the manga when it was available for free on Bookwalker back then.

Even if I didn’t get the manga for free, I would still buy the manga since I find the story in this manga interesting.

What makes Peach Heaven manga worth reading

Let’s be honest here. It’s not unusual to see a male character like Ranmaru in a shoujo manga where the male character is a hottie who comes from an influential family.

On top of that, he’s a popular model and the girls are fawning over him, save for our female main character here.

It was due to a certain incident that got our female main character coming in contact with him.

And their relationship starts to develop from there.

That doesn’t seem to be any different from your typical shoujo manga, does it?

So, what makes this manga worth reading when it’s not that much different from other shoujo manga out there?

Well, I will say it’s the fact that the female main character is actually an erotica author that makes it an interesting read.

Save for the fact that it doesn’t take that long for Ranmaru to discover her identity, I find the way she fleshes out the erotic scenes to be hilarious.

It makes me wonder do erotica authors use such a bright and cheerful metaphor when they describe intimate scenes?

Or does it apply to Peach Heaven only?

Well, I can’t say for sure since I’m a thriller author.

And let’s not forget that Ranmaru is more than happy to try things out if it can help Momoko with having more materials to write for her next story.

While some of the descriptions can be a little strange, I do find many of them hilarious.

Who would have thought that you don’t need to use vulgar terms when you write intimate scenes.

What I didn’t expect when I read the manga

For some reason, I can’t help but feel that this manga somehow reminded me of Princess Jellyfish.

Perhaps it’s the fact that Ranmaru is similar to Kuranosuke that reminded me of Princess Jellyfish in some ways.

Just like Kuranosuke, Ranmaru is also an illegitimate child and comes from an influential family.

But what sets him apart from Kuranosuke is that he’s still in high school and he would never cross-dress as a woman.

Other than that, the rest of the story isn’t that much different from your typical shoujo manga.

Who should read the manga?

If you enjoy reading comedy shoujo manga, then you will find the manga to be an interesting read.

Keep in mind that the manga can be a little spicy to some due to the nature of Momoko’s job as an erotica author.

But don’t worry, you won’t be seeing anything NSFW in the manga, save for the bright and cheerful metaphor that Momoko used when she fleshes out the scene in her mind.

Where to buy Peach Heaven manga

Strangely enough, I can’t seem to find the option to buy the Peach Heaven manga individually on Amazon.

The only option you have is to buy the first three books, the first five books, and all books in the series.

You can still buy any of the books individually from the second book onward, except for the first book, though.

I can’t say for sure why it’s only applicable to Peach Heaven. But if you don’t see that to be an issue here, you can buy the manga on Amazon right here:

Don’t have the budget to buy the first three books on Amazon? Well, the good news is you can buy the manga individually on Bookwalker.

Here’s the link to the first book on Bookwalker if you’re interested in buying the manga:

Sad to say you can no longer buy the first volume of the Japanese version of the manga at CDJapan.

If you want to read the manga in Japanese, then your best bet is to get the used version of the manga on websites like Buyee.

Not going to lie that it’s going to cost you a little more than usual. But if you’re fine with it, you can take a look at the website right here:

Just to let you know that I bought some items from Buyee in the past. You can read about it right here if you’re curious about my experience with Buyee.

P.S. If you’re into a story where the character has a dark secret that she wishes to keep to herself, then you may enjoy reading my light novel, The Diary of Modern Cinderella.

Yes, I admit that the story in The Diary of Modern Cinderella isn’t as bright and cheerful as the story in Peach Heaven.

But if you’re in the mood to read a psychological suspense novel during your vacation, consider having a look at my book, The Diary of Modern Cinderella.
