Winter 2025 Anime Blog Banner

Here’s something that I find fascinating about the winter 2025 anime – we have a bunch of romance anime this season.

I can’t say why we have so many of them this season.

But I’m guessing it may have something to do with Valentine’s Day in February.

Or perhaps it’s just a coincidence that we have so many romance anime this season.

The good news is there are plenty of non-romance anime that you can watch too if romance anime isn’t your thing.

That should be pretty telling based on what you see in my winter 2025 anime list.

If you’re wondering what else is coming this season, you can take a look at the complete list right here.

With that said, here are the winter 2025 anime I’m currently watching this season.

Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte

Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte

A genius doctor who helps the police solve strange murder cases.

That sums up what the Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte anime is about.

If you’re into a murder mystery anime like me, then you certainly enjoy watching this anime.

It’s unfortunate that the manga doesn’t get licensed in English as I write this.

You can bet that I will certainly add the manga to my reading list if it gets licensed someday.

Ao no Exorcist – Yosuga-hen

Ao no Exorcist Yosuga-hen

Okay, I’m already aware that we will get another season of Ao no Exorcist.

But I never expect that we will get another season of the anime so soon.

Here I am, thinking that the next season will come up in a few months or so as opposed to getting it right away after the Beyond the Snow Saga ends.

Just like any other anime that continues from the previous season, my warning will still be the same -watch from the very beginning.

This isn’t the sort of anime you can jump straight into the current season without any context.

If you find catching up with the anime feels too much for you, then you can get the manga instead:

Buy Blue Exorcist Vol.1 manga on Amazon

Just a heads up if you’re thinking about watching the anime from the beginning – the first season has tons of filler episodes.

It was only starting from the second season onward that the story in the anime was the same as the manga.

Dr. Stone S4

Dr. Stone S4

If you’ve been reading my blog long enough, then you know how much I love Dr. Stone.

And it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone it’s the anime I’m looking forward to the most this season.

Well, what’s not to love about the story when it has a mixture of scientific facts, action, and comedy?

If you prefer to watch something entertaining while learning something new, then this anime is for you.

The only caveat about this anime is that you will have to watch it from the beginning for a better understanding of the story.

Out of many anime that I watch, this anime has always never ceased to amaze me.

Just to let you know you can also catch up with the story through manga if that’s your thing.

If you have the budget for it, then I highly recommend you get the manga in print because the art style for this manga is to die for.

Not sure if the manga is worth getting?

You can read my post about the manga here if you’re curious.

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun S2

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun S2

After a long wait, we finally got the second season of Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun.

But unlike the previous season, the story takes a much darker turn instead.

So, don’t be fooled by its colorful animation, thinking that the anime is all about a funny twist to the popular urban legend.

It’s too bad that I can’t seem to recall what took place in the first season considering that the first season came out a long time ago.

And it doesn’t help that I have yet to continue reading the manga since I recommended it on my blog.

You can guess where I’m going with this one if you attempt to jump straight into watching the current season – don’t.

Watch it from the beginning for a better understanding since the story in the current season ties back to what happened in the first season.

If you plan to catch up with the story through manga and are not sure if it’s worth reading, you can read my post about the manga here.

Kisaki Kyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi

Kisaki Kyouiku Kara Nigetai Watashi

Imagine being betrothed to the prince at such a young age and having to go through torturous princess lessons all your life.

It’s no wonder seeing the prince with another woman is a heaven-sent to Leticia.

She can now call off the engagement and live a carefree life in the countryside.

Sad to say, her life in the countryside turns out to be short-lived when Prince Clarke comes to bring her back to the place.

His reason for doing so? She’s still his fiancée.

Knowing Leticia, you know the drill – she’s doing her utmost best to escape from the palace but always fails because Clarke is always one step ahead of her.

What will happen to Leticia then? Will she be able to escape from him despite how determined Clarke is to marry her?

Not going to lie that I find Leticia and I are kindred spirits.

That can be the reason why I enjoy watching this anime.

But sad to say, I don’t see myself reading the manga or even the light novel, though.

Well, at least for now.

If this is the kind of premise you enjoy and you’re interested in giving the manga or light novel a try, you can get any of them right here:

[Manga] I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Vol.1

[Light Novel] I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Vol.1

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto S2

If Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte is about a doctor who solves strange murder cases, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is about an apothecary who solves murder cases that take place in the rear palace.

Yes, it’s a similar premise but with a different setting.

This is another anime that you can add to your watch list if you want more of a murder mystery anime.

Just be sure you watch the anime from the first season for a better understanding of the story.

If you prefer to read a manga or light novel instead, you can get any of them right here:

[Manga] The Apothecary Diaries Vol.1

[Light Novel] The Apothecary Diaries Vol.1
