Year 2025 Blog Banner

Hold on, 2024 isn’t over yet and here I am, talking about my plans for the year 2025.

Isn’t it too early to talk about it when we still have a week or perhaps days before 2024 officially ends for good?

Well, you’re not wrong. Depending on when you read this post, we still have a week or perhaps days before 2024 officially ends.

But with me cutting back on blogging, there’s no better time for me to discuss my plans for 2025 than this week.

It’s already too late for me to talk about it by the time January is already here.

Thus, my decision to talk about my plans for 2025 this week despite it can feel a little tad too early for some.

My year 2024 thus far

Before we dive deep into my plans for the year 2025, how does my 2024 fare thus far?

Did I manage to achieve all the plans I set out to do in this post?

Sad to say, I accomplish NONE of all the things that I plan to do in 2024.

Yes, it pains me to admit that I didn’t get to achieve any of the things that I plan to do.

And it’s even more so when they’re the things that are important to me.

So, what is it that prevents me from achieving any of the plans that I laid out in 2024?

Is it because my motivation runs dry as soon as the New Year is over?

To be honest, I admit that I did have a moment when my motivation was in the toilet.

But funnily enough, that’s not the main reason why I didn’t manage to achieve all the things I intended to do in 2024.

Rather, it’s the fact that I spend most of my time maintaining the blogging schedule for my blogs is the reason why I achieve none of the goals I laid out for myself.

Okay, it may seem like I’m using my blogging schedule as a scapegoat.

But in reality, I realize that I spend around 50% of my working days just maintaining the regular blogging schedule.

If there’s one thing I’m doing differently in 2025, it will be cutting back on my blogging activity.

My plans for the year 2025

My plans for the year 2025 feel more like the copy-paste of the previous year considering that they’re pretty much the same thing that I want to do.

Will I be able to achieve all of them is yet to be seen. But I do hope that I get to see them happen for real this year.

With that said, here are the things that I plan to do in 2025.

Re-release the brand new edition of the Trigger Locked series

I’ve been working on revamping books in the Trigger Locked series since 2023.

And with only one book left in the series and me cutting back on blogging, there’s a big chance that the re-release of the books will take place this year.

Okay, I won’t deny there is still a lot of prep work that I have to do before the re-release.

But once I have everything nailed down, the rest of the stuff will be smooth sailing from here onwards.

And that leads us to my next plan on the list.

Publish the digital bundle edition of the Trigger Locked series

I always want to release the digital bundle edition for the Trigger Locked series once the third book, The Virtual Mass Murder, comes out.

But my plan to release the digital bundle edition took a backseat when I decided to revamp all books in the series.

Since I’m releasing a digital bundle as opposed to releasing the physical box set, it shouldn’t take that long for me to get the digital bundle edition published.

Publish hardback and large print edition for the Trigger Locked series

Publishing the hardback and large print edition of the books isn’t that much different from publishing the paperback edition.

The only difference is I have to do a little tweaking to the interior and the book cover files and they’re all set.

Of course, it will certainly take some time for me to do them all since I never released any of my books as a hardback and large print before.

Even with that, I do believe that I can get them all done within a couple of weeks once I get the hang of it.

Have my books available for sale on Google Play and accessible through the library system

Yes, I always want to have my books available on Google Play for ages. And the same goes for having my books available in the library system.

But I can only do that once I re-release the new edition of the Trigger Locked series.

Of course, I can always have the old version up for purchase on Google Play while working on the new edition.

But I find it a hassle having to upload the same book on Google Play again.

Rather than having to do the same thing twice, I would prefer to put my plan of having my books available on Google Play on hold until the new editions are ready for publication.

Publish the fourth book of the Trigger Locked series, The Modern Pied Piper

Okay, it shouldn’t take me this long to release the next book in the Trigger Locked series.

But with blogging consuming most of my working days, my plan to write the book ends up on the back burner.

Whether will I be able to get the book published this year is still up in the air considering that I have so many things I want to do this year.

Rather than aiming to get the book published this year, I’m planning to get the first draft of the book done at the very least.

That seems more doable instead of aiming to get it published within the same year.

Migrate my existing online store to a different platform

If you’ve been reading my blog long enough, then you may already be aware of my Payhip store’s existence.

I love Payhip because of its simplicity.

But the issue with Payhip is that it can also feel disconnected whenever I have to redirect people away from my website to my Payhip store.

Rather than having to redirect people elsewhere, I figure it’s best that I have my books available for purchase on my own website instead.

Judging from the amount of work I have to do, there’s no doubt it will take some time for me to get the online store up and running.

But hey, I still want the migration to happen this year since this plan has been on the back burner for so long.

Won’t there be any specific plan for the blog?

Sad to say, the answer is no.

My plan for the blog will remain the same in which the blog update will still be bi-monthly from now onwards.

And I don’t plan to get back on social media either.

There’s no reason for me to add more stuff to my plate when I barely have the time to do anything else.

What’s in store for me in 2025

Like the year before, I tend to feel optimistic about the year despite not knowing what awaits me.

Yes, there will always be something that prevents me from achieving what I want to do.

But hey, this is life.

Even if I didn’t achieve everything I planned to do, I’m already happy enough that I managed to achieve a few of them.

And that’s a huge progress compared to the year before when I barely made any progress.

To be honest, I can’t say for sure what’s in store for me in 2025.

But I do believe it will be a wonderful year for me nevertheless.

P.S. Since I mention the Trigger Locked series a lot in this blog post, don’t forget to have a look at the first book of the Trigger Locked series on my Payhip store.
